Rudraksha Fruits
Rudraksha beads have a blue outer layer, resembling blueberries, which is why they are sometimes referred to as blueberry beads. Over time, this blue layer dries and turns blackish. The number of Mukhi (faces) inside remains unknown until the bead is extracted. High-Mukhi Rudraksha beads are rare and valuable.
Extracting Rudraksha Beads from Fruits
Soak Rudraksha fruits in hot water for a few hours to soften the outer layer.
Scrub them using a stiff plastic brush to remove the softened pulp.
Wash the beads thoroughly to reveal their natural lines and Mukhi.
Benefits of Rudraksha Fruits
Enhances positive energy in homes and offices.
Attracts good luck and prosperity.
Promotes emotional well-being and mental clarity.
Removes negative influences from the surroundings.
Considered sacred and associated with divine blessings.
Ideal as a spiritual gift for loved ones.
Rudraksha Tree and Fruit Harvesting
The Rudraksha tree (Elaeocarpus ganitrus) is an evergreen species found in the Himalayan foothills and regions of Nepal, India, and Indonesia. When the tree matures, it produces blue-colored fruits between August and October. The seeds inside these fruits develop into Rudraksha beads, each forming distinct natural lines or Mukhi.
Harvesting Process
Harvesting at Maturity: The fruits are collected when fully mature and blue in color.
Careful Collection: The fruits are either hand-picked or gathered from the ground.
Cleaning and Soaking: Soaked in water to soften the outer pulp for easy seed extraction.
Drying the Seeds: The extracted Rudraksha beads are sun-dried for durability.
Sorting and Grading: Beads are categorized by size, shape, and the number of Mukhi.
